- Poetry - I cried out to the river,
"My love! Stay within your shores." She spilled over, and raging towards, sang, "Love, abandon your moorings and rage towards with me." Walking from my back door I wandered, wading into her waters, took off my wellies and shook off my father, called to my mother that I am her daughter, and communing with cottonmouths and ancient rage I swam into my love and went under. |
